Mission Statement

Mother’s Keeping Boots On The Ground is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help mothers, fathers and family’s receive justice for their children who were victims of unsolved homicides. Our goal is to provide awareness to the community as well as offer guidance, assistance, and resources to the families of the victims by connecting them with community leaders and like-minded organizations. We aim to help those in need receive closure, exposure and a sense of hopefulness.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to advocate for and provide exemplary assistance along with a network of resources, workshops, and classes to mothers, fathers, and families throughout our community who have lost their children to unsolved homicides.

We also work as advocates to help families connect with law enforcement, navigate the justice system, and ensure their voices are heard.

Founders:
Alisa Sanders and Tabitha Nahabedian are the Co‑Founders of Mothers Keeping Boots On The Ground. Their mission is rooted in justice, advocacy, and community healing.

Our Purpose

The goal of Mother’s Keeping Boots On The Ground is to make a difference in our community. We know violence is present, but our agenda is to decrease those numbers by rallying for the community, staying active and letting everyone’s voice be heard.

On this journey, we hope to bring justice to the families whose loved ones were taken from them by continuing to speak to our legislatures and other leading politicians, as well as continuing to build and strengthen our rapport with DPD. As mothers who are currently living in this very situation, it is our life‘s mission to bring awareness, provide knowledge, and to curb the normalcy of gun violence.

Our motto is “See Something… Say Something”, this mentality will help us all along the way, and we encourage our community to work with us and provide your unwavering support in this never-ending battle.
